Cornyval..

We went to San Antonio (actually Helotes) early Saturday morning to watch the Cornyval parade. Our niece was on a float because she’s in the Miss Helotes court. It was a great parade with a lot of good floats. Caroline loved it!

Caroline and her cousin James get along really well. He turned 4 in December and she’s bigger than he is!

It was hot by the time the parade was over and the carnival wasn’t opened yet so we took Caroline and James to go swimming at my sister-in-law’s apartment complex.


After swimming, we went to the Cornyval..bad idea! Caroline was super tired from being outside and busy all day. She was fine for a little bit while she was riding rides, but she melted down big time..she hit me, threw her shoes and was rolling around on the ground. We had to carry her to the car while she was screaming. Poor thing. I don’t know what we were thinking.

Dancing queen..

Like I mentioned in my last post, Caroline had a dance performance a few weekends ago at the YMCA in Buda. About half of her class showed up, but they did so well! They also got to wear their costumes so they were super cute. The end of the year recital is next weekend and I can’t wait to see them on the stage. I’m pretty bummed that our families won’t be there to see Caroline..they’ve practiced all year for this. My parents are going to be out of town celebrating their 30th anniversary and Mario’s parents have Astros tickets.




One of these things is not like the other.



Our niece was in the Miss Helotes pageant a few weeks ago and we went to watch. Caroline loved it..especially the dresses. She kept saying that she wanted to be on stage with the pretty girls. Mario says she is NOT doing pageants. Ha.

My camera was not cooperating at all that day (and I have since bought another one..Happy Mothers Day to me) and I got one picture at the restaurant afterward.
