We took Caroline to the pediatrician the day after we got home from the hospital and they checked her biliruben levels. The pediatrician said she would give us a call when she got the results. She called us around 4pm and said we needed to take her to the NICU and she was going to have to be admitted. I lost it..what new mom wouldn't?
The Seton NICU staff was wonderful and they even had a room that we could spend the night in free of charge. They had to keep Caroline under the blue lights and she could only be taken out for feedings. They called every 3 hours and let us go in and feed her. It was sad to see our baby girl laying there under the blue lights.
Here's our yellow girl on the way to the pediatrician
Here she is at one of the feedings.
A nurse getting her situated after her feeding.
Hanging out under the blue lights..she did really well and didn't fuss at all.
Daddy excited about getting to take her home..for good this time.
Ready to go home again.
