As I mentioned in last week's McFatty Monday post, a good friend of ours passed away 8 days ago. He grew up with my Mario and they lived with each other in college. I introduced him to one of my friends and they got married a year and a half ago. He was the best man in our wedding and my Mario was the best man in his.
I'm not going to go into the details of what happened on a public blog because I don't know if his family is okay with that. I will say that it was a total shock to everyone!
I've never had a friend pass away before and this has been hard. I've been in a funk for the past week and I've been trying to make sense of it all. Please pray for his family and wife, who is now a widow at 29.
I have definitely learned from this situation already..not to take things or people for granted...and not to get so worked up over trivial things because things could always be worse.
